Nurturing Families - Commercial Photography

Nurturing Families is a charity based here in Tāmaki Makaurau doing such important, tireless work - putting together packages of essentials for families who need a helping hand. I recently offered up my services to them to take some new photos for their website and socials, free of charge.

We spent the morning together capturing the heart of what they do - the people behind the work and the everyday moments that make up something so meaningful. My goal was simple: honest, warm images that show exactly why their work matters, so they can keep telling their story and reaching the families who need them.

As a mum myself, I know how much it means to have support when things are tough. Getting to use my little bit of skill to help an organisation doing that work every single day felt like such a privilege.

A Family Photo Shoot in Owhiro Bay

I was so honoured to capture these images for my dear friend Billie during a recent trip back home to Wellington. Billie is an insanely talented, well-known family and wedding photographer, and I’ve been a huge fan of her beautiful work for as long as I can remember (you can go swoon over her work, here).

We decided to do a little shoot trade — she photographed my family, and I photographed hers — and I felt so lucky to be behind the camera for her and her gorgeous crew.

West Auckland Family Photography: Magic Hour at Bethells Beach

I had such a great time capturing this family recently! The kids had a wonderful time exploring the beach while I snapped away.

I always love being able to capture families exactly as they are in their current season of life.

Not perfectly posed, no forced smiles.

Just real, happy moments - kids being kids - running wild, climbing the dunes, and laughing the most contagious laughs (I couldn’t help but laugh behind the lens at the same time too!)

These are the real memories that matter most. And it’s always such a privilege to freeze them in time for families.

Oh - and I’m sure it’s clear that my absolute favourite place to photograph family sessions is Bethells Beach - just 40 minutes from central Auckland, it always delivers the most stunning sunsets!

A Cozy In-Home Newborn Session with Baby Austin

This sleepy little smoosh is named Austin and I was lucky enough to meet him and his wonderful parents at their home a couple of weeks ago for a newborn photography session.

I love capturing all the tiny details—his little yawns, the way he curled up in Mum and Dad’s arms, and those fleeting newborn stretches. These are the moments that pass by in a blur, and it’s always such a privilege to photograph these little moments for new parents.
